General Details

One of the few Fellowship trained Clinical breast imaging radiologist in India.
Reported more than 35000 mammography cases since 2013.
Performed more than 4000 guided breast interventional procedures. On an average supervised and reported about 200 MRI breast cases annually.
Clinical Skills
Mammography and tomosynthesis reporting including CESM.
Ultrasound and MRI of breast.
Ultrasound guided core biopsies, fine needle aspiration cytology of lymph nodes,clip placement, wire localization, specimen ultrasound.
Mammography guided stereotactic biopsy, wire localizations and bracketing, specimen mammography reporting.
Vacuum assisted biopsy under mammography and ultrasound.
Giving radiological pathological concordance for the biopsy results with further recommendations.

Achievements
- Involved in the audit of radiological-pathological concordance for the past 9 years of all image guided breast biopsy cases at Amrita hospital. The agreement rate was about 98% with less than 2 % of discordant cases. This suggests a very high degree of accuracy in breast imaging.

- Organized online mentorship as a part of BISI Metavarsity initiative in which the students were taken through 100 case scenarios by 10 eminent faculties from across the country and abroad.

- Jul 2012-Jun 2013: Completed a 1 year Clinical Fellowship in breast imaging under JDMI from prestigious University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Was trained hands on in all modalities of breast imaging and interventions.
- Oct 2008-Jun 2012: Registrar in Kuwait Cancer Centre, Kuwait. I was trained in diagnostic onco-radiology and led to my subsequent subspecialty interest in Breast Imaging.
- Jul 2005-Nov 2006: Visiting radiologist in Medivision, Ravipuram, Kochi.
- Jul 2003-Jun 2005: Secondary DNB from Medical Trust Hospital, Kochi. Obtained my DNB in Radiodiagnosis from National Board, New Delhi in Aug 2006.
