Story of the department

Established in 1986, the Neurosurgery Department has grown over the years to a fine centre of excellence offering comprehensive brain, spine and peripheral nerve care. There is an outpatient facility that functions everyday and inpatient facilities. We have two ICUs and an inpatient ward manned by dedicated nurses and allied specialists who offer all round care with compassion and love with an emphasis on evidence based clinical practice.

Overview & Features

Established in 1986, the Neurosurgery Department has grown over the years to a fine center of excellence offering comprehensive brain, spine, and peripheral nerve care. There is an outpatient facility that functions in everyday and inpatient facilities. We have two ICUs and an inpatient ward manned by dedicated nurses and allied specialists who offer all-round care with compassion and love with an emphasis on evidence-based clinical practice.

The faculty today comprises of five senior consultants who have been trained in some of the best centers in the world and have a wide range of experience. There is a dedicated operation theatre equipped with modern instruments to operate even the most complex neurosurgical disorders. We also have a fifteen bed dedicated ICU, ensuring that after all neurosurgery procedures, patients are cared for by Anaesthesiologists, Intensivists, specialized physicians, nurses Physiotherapists, and allied staff, with compassion and love. Today the department equipped with ultra-modern technology and equipment that are necessary to provide state-of-the-art care.

The Neurosurgery department handles the entire spectrum of neurological disorders in the areas of Adult and Paediatric Neurosurgery. They also perform the entire range of surgeries of the Brain, spine, spinal cord and Peripheral nerves

Brain and Spine Trauma Management and Surgery (For extradural/subdural haematomas/ Contusions/ spine fractures and dislocation)

Spine Surgery (For craniovertebral junction, cervical, thoracic and lumbar problems like intervertebral disc prolapse, spondylosis, spinal stenosis, atlantoaxial dislocation, basilar Invagination, spinal dysraphism, tethered cord and myelomeningocele)

The Neurosurgery department handles the entire spectrum of neurological disorders in the areas of Adult and Paediatric Neurosurgery. We also perform the entire range of surgeries of the Brain, Spine, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.

OUTPATIENT SERVICES

There is an outpatient facility that functions every day with two neurosurgeons attending to the patients on any day except Sundays and holidays. Along with one Neurosurgeon to attend to Emergencies and inter-hospital calls.

INPATIENT SERVICES

We have two ICUs and a 30 bedded inpatient ward manned by dedicated nurses and allied specialists who offer all-around care with compassion and love with an emphasis on evidence-based clinical practice.

There is a dedicated operation theatre equipped with modern instruments to operate even the most complex neurosurgical disorders.
