Justice Kurian Joseph was nominated to the Board of Lissie Medical Institutions in 2020. Justice Kurian Joseph, a retired Judge of the Supreme Court of India, is known for his humane and compassionate approach to law. A strong supporter of mediation even on the Bench, Justice Joseph was known for urging parties embroiled in litigation pertaining to personal relationships to settle their disputes amicably. As Judge of the Supreme Court of India Justice Joseph was involved in landmark cases like Constitutional Amendment of NJAC (National Judicial Appointments Commission) and in striking down the practice of Triple Talaaq. He was one of the ten judges in the history of the Supreme Court of India to have delivered more than 1000 judgements. While on the bench he demonstrated his support for speedy delivery of justice by disposing more than 8600 cases pending in the Supreme Court of India. While in Kerala High Court, Justice Kurian Joseph delivered around 88000 cases.

Since retirement, Justice Joseph is focused on using ADR processes such as mediation, arbitration and conciliation to support parties to find sustainable, long lasting solutions. He is routinely appointed by the Supreme Court of India and the various High Courts to act as a Mediator and Arbitrator.

He brings to the Board a wealth of knowledge and legal expertise.
