The Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, Lisie Hospital aims at providing the standard of care in surgical gastroenterology which is affordable to every one. It deals with disorders of the digestive system which includes the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, appendix, colon, anal canal, pancreas, liver, gall bladder and retroperitoneum. The coordination of this department with Medical Gastroenterology, Oncology, Radiotherapy, Radiology, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Pathology and Microbiology helps in providing multidisciplinary care to the patient. The motto of the department is patient oriented, evidence based care.
